ルーマニアと日本人のアーチストによるブックアート展を開催します。
この展覧会は、「EIBAB（European International Book Art Biennale）」と
「ドルティア・フライスと東西アーチスト」の２団体が、
過去、欧米・インドなどで開催した「Book Art Exhibition」の
日本での初めての開催となります。
『本』という括りの中で、アーチストの思いを表出する展覧会です。（担当：髙田）
物質としての本は、情報伝達の手段として印刷技術の発達と共に数千年の歴史を刻んできた。
今、紙という記録メディアは、電子記録へと急速な移行が進んでいる。
その過渡期に生きるものとして、
過去と未来と新たな物質としての本が内包する意味合いを探り、
ありさまを模索するのは至極自然なことであろう。
今回は、美術家の視点から見る、その思いを展示する試みである。

book art exhibition joined by 20 each Romanian and Japanese artists is being
planned.
This will be the first book art exhibition biennale held in Japan,
which is originally planned and organized by two entities,
“EIBAB” (European International Book Art Biennale) and
“Dorothea Fleiss and Her East and West Artists.”
A book has a long history of a communication measure over a few thousands years
along with the development of printing technology.
Paper as a recording media has been making a rapid transition to electronic
recording.
As we stand at this inordinate age it is easily perceived that
we pursue the significance and stance of books from the past, present and future as a new form.
Having those facts in mind artists will present their points of view in
their works at this exhibition.
