1940      Born in Sakai, Osaka.
1945

 Moved to his father's hometown, countryside of Kochi, and spent his childhood.    

1959  Kyoto City University of Art, majoring in Arts and Crafts, Dyeing Design.
More interested in stage design and shadow pictures, etc.
Introduced to the world of picture books by Prof. Inagaki..
1965-73 
Graduated from Graduate School of Arts, Kyoto City University of Art.
Formed a group of Senshoku Shudan・Mugendai (dyeing group・unlimited)
1965  Exhibited Katazome works in Japan Print Association Exhibition (till present)
Won the Best New Artist in Western print department, Kyoto Print Exhibition
1976 Won the Metallic Gold Award with "Gion Festival", Biennale of Illustrations
1979 Won the First Picture Book Nippon Award with "Jigokuno Soubei"
1987 Special exhibition "The World of Tajima Yukihiko," Otani Memorial Art Museum (Nishinomiya City) and Himeji City Museum of Art
1991 "The First Some Seiryu Ten," Kyoto City Museum of Art and Musee de Some Seiryu
2000 "Message from Okinawa, Tajima Yukihiko Exhibition," Sakima Art Museum (Ginowan City)
2005 "Tajima Yukihiko, World of Kataezo" (Shoukado Museum, Yahata City, Kyoto)
